Manhattan Beach artisan shop Yorktown is hosting the store’s second annual Celebration of Local Artisans Thursday, March 30, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Featuring sips and bites sponsored by Yorktown and Patron Spirits, proceeds from tickets will benefit Walk with Sally, and the event also celebrates the store’s second anniversary.
“When I opened Yorktown almost two years ago, one of my goals was to have a place where we could feature local artisans from near and far. I love their creative eye and uniquely hand-made objects and designs,” said owner Maureen McBride. “Putting together an event featuring the treasures these talented artists create and being able to show them to the community is a thrill.”
The event features her shop’s new and long-standing artists. One of the newest artists is Snygg Mas, who she discovered at Hermosa Beach Artist Collective’s “Water & Wood” art show last month. Mas’ piece, “The Strand Flow,” is featured on Yorktown’s main wall.
